DATELINE: BECKET

Road crews are actively working on County, Yokum Pond, and Tyne Roads — including the Yokum Pond Road bridge project — as summer travel picks up across town, and a Berkshire Regional Transit Authority Advisory Board meeting is on the books for this afternoon.

TOWN HALL

Road construction is underway on County Road, Yokum Pond Road, and Tyne Road, from Route 8 to the Becket-Lee town line. The work includes the Yokum Pond Road bridge project, which residents should expect to affect travel on that corridor. The town has not announced a timeline for completion, but drivers are advised to plan accordingly.

This afternoon, the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority Advisory Board meets at 4 p.m. — the only scheduled government meeting of the day.
